Sino-Finnish Joint Learning Innovation Institute
Beijing Normal University (BNU) has established long term relationship with Finnish universities in collaboration of academic research, teacher training, education science and learning science. BNU, representing Chinese partner universities, and University of Helsinki, representing Finnish partner universities, have jointly set up the Sino-Finnish Joint Learning Innovation Institute. The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Helsinki on 12th of June, 2015 by Hao Ping (郝平), the Vice Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and Sanni Grahn-Laasonen, the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Finland.
In May 2016, invited by University of Helsinki and Finland’s Ministry of Education and Culture, BNU visited Finland for the opening ceremony of Sino-Finnish Joint Learning Innovation Institute. Delegation led by Professor Zhou Zuoyu, Vice President of BNU joint discussion with Finnish committee board members from University of Helsinki, Aalto University, University of Turku, University of Jyväskylä, University of Eastern Finland, University of Oulu, University of Tampere, University Consortium of Pori, University of Lapland and representatives from Finnish enterprises. Anita LEHIKOINEN, Executive Secretary of Finland Ministry of Educatio and Mika Tirronen, Counselor in Science and Education from Embassy of Finland in Beijing have attended the ceremony.
